My personal ministry has always involved serving children and youth.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

ACPCG is a volunteer organization of professional Child Photographers from all over the country who have come together to form a Guild dedicated to Children in need and their families. "PRACTICING THE ART OF GIVING BACK..."

As a member of ACPCG, I provide Complimentary Portrait Sessions and Portraits for families of permanently and terminally ill children, including those in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). This is the most heartbreaking, yet most rewarding work I have ever done.

 

I'd like to share one example of how meaningful to me this work is:

I was blessed to photograph Walker Woolery in early 2007. A few short months later, sweet little three year old Walker went home to be with God. I was so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet Walker and his family and to share my gift of photography with them. Click here to view the Storybook I gave them.

A few months ago, I received a beautiful note from Walker's mommy.

 

Deb,
I thank God for you everyday. Each day I look at that big picture you made of Walker and I. It is the first thing I see each day, and every time I walk into my room. I have the pictures you took of him everywhere. When no one is around I talk to them, just like Walker is there with me. I cannot imagine my day without those pictures. I'm so grateful to you for those treasures. I think that they are the main reason I'm able to do anything because I can feel like he is still with me. You captured his personality so preciously. I just wanted to tell you that I was thinking of and appreciating you gift.
